Our Team

Scott Schrakamp, CPA, Partner 214-575-2600 BBA, MPA

Scott Schrakamp, CPA oversees the federal tax preparation for all individual and small business clients for the firm. He is personally involved in the detailed tax preparation for many of the firm’s clients and believes that thorough, timely, and responsive service to our clients is job one. Scott holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Texas (Go Horns!), and a Master’s in Accountancy from the University of Houston. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of CPAs. He has extensive experience in multiple industries including oil and gas, manufacturing, restaurant groups, construction companies, wholesalers, and non-profits, as well as decades of experience managing the tax filings of individuals. Scott's proactive tax planning has saved clients millons of dollars over the years. He has successfully represented clients before the IRS as well as multiple state taxing authorities. Scott works with individuals as well as small and medium-sized businesses, coordinating, balancing, and maximizing the benefits available from an income tax and accounting perspective, both for the business and the respective owners, putting him in a unique position to add value for our clients. When he is not at work, Scott is active in his church group, enjoys hunting and fishing, and rooting for Longhorns. He is a loyal family man who with his wife, Lisa, has raised two children.

Dustin Jensen, Partner 214-575-2600 BS Accounting

Dustin Jensen oversees the sales, use and other transaction tax services to our corporate clients. Dustin received his B.S. in accounting from Missouri Western State University and is a member of the Institute of Professionals in Taxation. Throughout his decades long career, Dustin has served clients ranging from small and midsized to Fortune 100 companies. His experience includes audit representation, tax minimization and recovery, outsource of sales and use tax compliance, preparation and review of tax matrices, performing process improvement reviews, and exposure management/voluntary disclosure agreements. Dustin has experience in numerous industries including, retail, utilities, health care, technology, oil and gas, manufacturing, construction, and restaurants. One of his key strengths is identifying opportunities to minimize a client’s sales and use tax exposure and identifying tax savings opportunities. Dustin has been instrumental in helping clients obtain refunds totaling over $1 million in both the energy and financial services sector. In addition to refunds, Dustin has saved his clients millions of dollars by reducing audit assessments and negotiating tax settlements including saving one oil and gas client over $4 million in audit assessments. Additionally, Dustin has worked with clients in multiple industries in being proactive in managing tax risk. He has been published in State Tax Notes and is a speaker as well as an instructor on sales/use tax practices and current developments.

Wayne Wilson, Sales Tax Manager 214-575-2600 MS Accounting

Wayne Wilson is a tax leader, with over twenty-five years of experience in state and local transaction/indirect tax consulting. He has extensive experience in multistate sales and use tax, tax research, tax compliance planning and procedures, development of tax savings strategies, and negotiation of multimillion dollar audit reductions and refunds. He has diverse industry expertise leading teams to deliver across the entertainment, hospitality, restaurant, energy, retail and healthcare industries. Upon graduation from college, Wayne began his career as an income tax accountant for the national public accounting firm Coopers and Lybrand. He soon delved into state and local taxes and then quickly moved into indirect taxes. He has extensive experience in direct and indirect state and local tax audits. While being directly involved in these multi-state audits, he has participated in and led negotiations with state audit personnel and representatives to successfully reduce audit deficiencies and to also obtain refunds. Wayne received a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in accounting with a specialty in tax from the University of North Texas. He is also a Certified Public Accountant licensed by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.
